According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2013:

  1. California: 24,600
  2. New York: 6,900
  3. Ohio: 5,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2013:

  1. Idaho: -800
  2. Montana: -500
  3. Maine: -400
