According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2014:

  1. District of Columbia: 12,800
  2. Delaware: -1,600
  3. Florida: -2,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2014:

  1. California: -172,300
  2. North Carolina: -78,700
  3. Missouri: -43,200
