According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2015:

  1. California: 10,600
  2. Ohio: 8,300
  3. Illinois: 4,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2015:

  1. New Mexico: -2,100
  2. Delaware: -1,100
  3. Mississippi: -700
