According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2015:

  1. District of Columbia: 13,500
  2. Florida: -1,900
  3. Delaware: -2,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2015:

  1. California: -166,500
  2. North Carolina: -78,200
  3. Missouri: -43,700
