According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2015:

  1. California: 19,600
  2. New York: 5,400
  3. Illinois: 4,800

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2015:

  1. Minnesota: -2,000
  2. Louisiana: -1,300
  3. Arizona: -800
