According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2016:

  1. Ohio: 14,800
  2. California: 6,500
  3. Georgia: 5,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2016:

  1. Indiana: -4,200
  2. North Carolina: -3,200
  3. Minnesota: -3,200
