According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2018:

  1. Alabama: 700
  2. North Dakota: 500
  3. Delaware: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2018:

  1. Ohio: -8,200
  2. Michigan: -8,200
  3. California: -6,600
