According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2018:

  1. California: 22,300
  2. New York: 13,500
  3. North Carolina: 6,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2018:

  1. Idaho: -900
  2. Montana: -200
  3. Maine: -200
