According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2019:
- California: 63,800
- New York: 25,700
- Ohio: 18,600
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2019:
- District of Columbia: -700
- Kentucky: -300
- Nevada: -200
