According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2020:
- Hawaii: 1,500
- Alabama: 1,300
- North Dakota: 400
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2020:
- Michigan: -14,100
- California: -12,200
- New York: -11,500
