According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2020:

  1. California: 15,900
  2. Illinois: 4,900
  3. New York: 4,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2020:

  1. Arizona: -3,800
  2. Ohio: -3,600
  3. Oklahoma: -1,200
