According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2021:
- California: 20,100
- Indiana: 3,500
- Colorado: 3,200
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2021:
- Michigan: -9,900
- Florida: -9,000
- Arizona: -4,800
