According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2006:

  1. Nevada: 300
  2. Louisiana: 200
  3. Connecticut: 100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2006:

  1. California: -9,700
  2. New York: -8,700
  3. Florida: -3,500
