According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. New York: 2,600
  2. Washington: 2,600
  3. California: 2,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2006:

  1. Virginia: -1,600
  2. Louisiana: -700
  3. Georgia: -500
