According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2008:

  1. California: 3,300
  2. New York: 3,300
  3. Louisiana: 900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2008:

  1. Nevada: -700
  2. Maryland: -600
  3. Florida: -500
