According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2009:

  1. Massachusetts: 1,000
  2. California: 800
  3. New Mexico: 500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2009:

  1. Florida: -1,800
  2. New Jersey: -1,600
