According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2011:

  1. California: 1,800
  2. Minnesota: 400
  3. Georgia: 200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2011:

  1. New York: -15,100
  2. New Jersey: -5,900
  3. Massachusetts: -3,700
