According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2012:

  1. Louisiana: 3,200
  2. California: 2,800
  3. New York: 2,100

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2012:

  1. New Jersey: -1,100
  2. Maryland: -1,000
  3. Colorado: -600
