According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2013:

  1. California: 3,800
  2. New York: 1,500
  3. New Jersey: 600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2013:

  1. Hawaii: -1,200
  2. Illinois: -500
  3. Ohio: -400
