According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2014:

  1. Maryland: 600
  2. Mississippi: 600
  3. District of Columbia: 400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2014:

  1. New York: -7,800
  2. California: -6,900
  3. Louisiana: -2,100
