According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Information industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2016:
- California: 8,300
- Georgia: 1,900
- New Mexico: 1,300

- Illinois: -400
- Michigan: -200
- Louisiana: -200
