According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2004:

  1. Pennsylvania: 4,000
  2. California: 3,100
  3. Georgia: 2,600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2004:

  1. New Jersey: -3,200
  2. Florida: -3,100
  3. South Carolina: -2,800
