According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2004:

  1. Florida: 2,700
  2. Vermont: 1,800
  3. Wyoming: -400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2004:

  1. New York: -35,800
  2. California: -30,700
  3. Ohio: -21,900
