According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2005:

  1. California: 4,700
  2. Michigan: 2,800
  3. Georgia: 2,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2005:

  1. New Jersey: -2,600
  2. Texas: -2,100
  3. Maryland: -1,700
