According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2006:

  1. Colorado: 12,300
  2. California: 12,100
  3. Florida: 8,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2006:

  1. South Carolina: -2,700
  2. Ohio: -2,300
  3. Missouri: -2,200
