According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2006:

  1. Arizona: 4,000
  2. Mississippi: 1,400
  3. District of Columbia: 600

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2006:

  1. New York: -27,000
  2. Pennsylvania: -20,600
  3. Ohio: -17,700
