According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2008:

  1. Ohio: 24,000
  2. New York: 23,400
  3. Illinois: 19,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2008:

  1. Florida: -8,200
  2. Colorado: -2,800
  3. Hawaii: -1,200
