According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2008:
- Indiana: 3,300
- Minnesota: 2,900
- Michigan: 2,500
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2008:
- Florida: -7,100
- New Jersey: -4,500
- California: -4,200
