According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2008:

  1. Colorado: 9,600
  2. Florida: 3,900
  3. Montana: 1,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in December, 2008:

  1. Massachusetts: -5,100
  2. Illinois: -4,100
  3. Nevada: -4,000
