According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2008:

  1. Louisiana: 2,800
  2. Arizona: -400
  3. North Dakota: -500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in October, 2008:

  1. California: -26,700
  2. Ohio: -17,900
  3. Michigan: -17,100
