According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2009:
- New York: 38,300
- Ohio: 23,600
- Michigan: 21,300
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in May, 2009:
- Florida: -13,700
- Colorado: -3,600
- Arizona: -1,900
