According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2011:
- Illinois: 7,000
- California: 4,600
- Minnesota: 3,200
On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in August, 2011:
- New York: -2,600
- Nevada: -2,100
- New Jersey: -1,600
