According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2012:

  1. Hawaii: -400
  2. North Dakota: -600
  3. Alaska: -1,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Leisure and Hospitality industry (not seasonally adjusted) in January, 2012:

  1. New York: -38,300
  2. California: -26,500
  3. Ohio: -17,100
