According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2005:

  1. Texas: 23,600
  2. California: 22,200
  3. Arizona: 14,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2005:

  1. Hawaii: 0
  2. South Dakota: 200
  3. Rhode Island: 200
