According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2007:

  1. California: 17,100
  2. Michigan: 4,400
  3. Indiana: 4,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2007:

  1. Minnesota: -900
  2. Nevada: -300
  3. Connecticut: -300
