According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2012:

  1. New Jersey: 6,900
  2. Massachusetts: 2,900
  3. Minnesota: 1,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2012:

  1. Florida: -79,000
  2. North Carolina: -37,400
  3. Arizona: -28,300
