According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2016:

  1. New York: 22,900
  2. California: 18,700
  3. Arizona: 9,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2016:

  1. Massachusetts: -400
  2. Hawaii: -100
  3. Delaware: -100
