According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2016:

  1. Minnesota: 4,600
  2. New Jersey: 3,600
  3. Illinois: 3,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in June, 2016:

  1. Florida: -79,800
  2. Arizona: -34,700
  3. North Carolina: -19,800
