According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2017:

  1. Ohio: 3,200
  2. California: 2,400
  3. Missouri: 1,700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in April, 2017:

  1. Florida: -2,600
  2. Nevada: -1,900
  3. Indiana: -1,900
