According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2018:

  1. New York: 25,700
  2. California: 16,200
  3. Illinois: 10,200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2018:

  1. Hawaii: -200
  2. Maine: 0
  3. New Hampshire: 200
