According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2019:

  1. New York: 23,200
  2. California: 15,300
  3. New Jersey: 8,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2019:

  1. Maine: -500
  2. Hawaii: -200
  3. New Hampshire: 0
