According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2019:

  1. New York: 18,100
  2. California: 11,500
  3. New Jersey: 5,000

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2019:

  1. Mississippi: -200
  2. Missouri: -100
  3. Michigan: -100
