According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2020:

  1. New York: 18,900
  2. California: 12,800
  3. Illinois: 8,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2020:

  1. Maine: -500
  2. Hawaii: -100
  3. Delaware: 200
