According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2020:

  1. California: 15,300
  2. Michigan: 4,100
  3. Illinois: 3,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2020:

  1. Arizona: -3,000
  2. Oklahoma: -2,400
  3. Minnesota: -1,400
