According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2020:

  1. New York: 11,300
  2. California: 9,100
  3. Michigan: 5,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in November, 2020:

  1. Alaska: -600
  2. New Mexico: -400
  3. Illinois: -300
