According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2021:

  1. Illinois: 10,700
  2. New York: 8,600
  3. New Jersey: 7,900

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Local Government industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2021:

  1. Georgia: -5,300
  2. Arkansas: -200
  3. Hawaii: 0
