According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2002:

  1. Michigan: 11,200
  2. Alaska: 3,700
  3. California: 3,500

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in February, 2002:

  1. Wisconsin: -5,800
  2. Texas: -5,000
  3. Washington: -3,900
