According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2002:

  1. Alaska: 6,400
  2. Oregon: 3,800
  3. New Mexico: 700

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in July, 2002:

  1. Michigan: -21,300
  2. California: -16,000
  3. Missouri: -15,500
