According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2002:

  1. California: 7,100
  2. New York: 2,100
  3. Wisconsin: 1,400

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in March, 2002:

  1. Texas: -2,300
  2. North Carolina: -2,100
  3. Ohio: -1,800
