According to data from the US BLS, the following US states added the highest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2002:

  1. Missouri: 800
  2. Arkansas: 500
  3. Delaware: 200

On the other hand, the following states added the lowest number of jobs to the Manufacturing industry (not seasonally adjusted) in September, 2002:

  1. Texas: -5,800
  2. California: -5,700
  3. Wisconsin: -4,700
